Download and Install Desktop App

Step 1: Download and Install the ExaCompute Desktop App

Follow the instructions below to download and install the ExaCompute Desktop App for your operating system. The app is available for macOS (Apple Silicon), Windows (x64), and Linux (x64).

For macOS (Apple Silicon)

1. Download:

   • Visit https://release.exadrivecdn.com/.

   • Click on the exa_protocol_client_1_0_1.dmg (arm) link to download the .dmg file.

2. Install:

   • Open the downloaded .dmg file from your Downloads folder.

   • Drag and drop the ExaCompute app icon into your Applications folder.

3. Allow App in Security & Privacy:

   • Since the app is self-signed, macOS Gatekeeper may block it. You will see a warning message like:

     "Apple could not verify 'exa_protocol_client***.dmg' is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy."

   • To proceed:

     • Open System Settings > Privacy & Security.

     • Scroll to the Security section.

     • Click Allow Anyway next to the ExaCompute app.

4. Launch:

   • Open the app from your Applications folder.

For Windows (x64)

1. Download:

   • Visit https://release.exadrivecdn.com/.

   • Click on the exa_protocol_client_1_0_1.exe (x64) link to download the .exe file.

2. Install:

   • Locate the downloaded .exe file in your Downloads folder.

   • Double-click on it to run the installer.

   • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

3. Launch:

   • Once installed, search for "ExaCompute" in the Start menu and open it.

For Linux (x64)

1. Download:

   • Visit https://release.exadrivecdn.com/.

   • Click on the exa_protocol_client_1_0_1.run (x64) link. (Coming soon)

2. Install & Launch:

   • Follow installation instructions once available.

By following these steps, you can successfully download and install the ExaCompute Desktop App for your operating system.
